If I was a designer...

Fashion illustrations of two outfits I'd like to be wearing this summer. 

I've recently finished my university degree in fashion with promotion and communication. I would have loved to have studied fashion design and it would be an amazing career that I could express my creative side through, but the actual creation of the garments put me off the idea. I do (luckily) love illustration, so at least I can show you my fashion design/style ideas.

A summer of mesh/netting, monochrome, turquoise and prints.

"My Body, My Shrine" - Project 104

Beautiful and unique swimwear created in and influenced by its edgy and quirky style. 

Below are images form the SS13 collection for Project 104. Each item that Project 104 is limited edition of only 104 prints, its a promise that founder of the company Sarah makes "we’re not lying each piece is individually numbered from 1-104. Just like a piece of art. Because that’s what we want to do- mix art and fashion and hopefully come up with something that you love as much as we do".

I personally love each swim piece I have seen. I cannot wait to see more, maybe if I'm lucky i'll even get a piece from the SS13 collection.

White and pastels

Last night instead of going to bed at a normal hour I decided to practice a little fashion illustration.

This is an illustration of a editorial image I found in an old Wonderland magazine.

The colours in the illustration sum up the colours I am loving at the moment for Spring/ Summer 13, white and pastels.

An iridescent summer

Beautiful iridescent materials are slowly showing up in the high street stores for SS13. 

I personally cannot wait to spend hot and dry summer days at a cocktail bar wearing simple white dress and iridescent accessories.

Emerald Envy, Mighty Metallics and Brilliant Black

Emeralds green, golds clashing with silvers and blacks are starting to be introduced for summer trends. 

Striking emerald green paired with metallics on a neutral background creates the perfect compliments colour palette.
