x.x.x
I've been completely absent from blogging and pretty poor with illustrating on a regular basis since moving to London in January.
London life is extremely hectic, but also very inspiring as a creative. Anyway, my plan is draw and get creative as much as I possibly can in my spare time...... & update my blog and new illustration Facebook page with my latest stuff... Watch the space!

Play Galllllll x Kate Moss x Mert and Marcus
Even before seeing the Kate Moss shoot for Playboy's 60th Birthday, I knew I was going to be obsessed with it. Kate Moss doesn't do things by halves and she certainly doesn't disappoint.
The legendary fashion photographers Mert and Marcus have captured classic old school Playboy glamour as well as artistic and modern imagery in the editorial.
Each image seems to tell a different story and has its own unique charm.
My illustration is from a photograph from the shoot. This image has been used as a print on Marc Jacobs shirts. Of course, after knowing about this shirt I immediately tried to purchase it, but I can't get it shipped to the UK. I'm almost kind of tempted to get my illustration printed on a tee and wear it instead.
Although this illustration looks very much like Kate Moss, I strangely see an element of Kim Kardashian in it; I think it's possibly the lips.

Miley x Obsession.
Miley Cyrus... NYC shot by Terry Richardson!
I (and the rest of the world) am literally OBSESSED with Miley Cyrus at the moment. I love the controversy that she causes, and I personally am sitting back and enjoying the show.

Leather...
Certain angles, looks, poses and styles really inspire me, and this is when I seem to create my best! I was playing around with the concept "leather" for an AW13 trend and felt inspired to create this image. I love the simplicity of only using one colour and medium to create this piece. I have also created another piece on this theme, but I believe it might be getting used in the British Mode Magazine's up and coming publication so I am not able to post it on my blog at the moment. That piece in my eyes is my best illustration yet, and I cannot wait to share it on my blog.
I have also recently created some illustrations of Paris Fashion Week catwalk looks that can be found on British Mode Magazine's website.

Christian Dior back stage illustration, Paris Fashion Week
In regards to my last post about posting a LANVIN illustration. I did create one, but sent it to British Mode Magazine for their website. So if you would like to see my LAVNIN and Christian Dior catwalk illustrations then please check on their website in a few days.

Illustrations from Paris Fashion Week - Day 1
I had the most amazing experience at London Fashion Week illustrating for Fashion Scout's blog. This is because I was doing something I love and am super passionate about and had so much creative responsibility. I enjoyed running from hair and make-up rooms, to back stage of the catwalk to the show itself, all to get the best inspiration for my illustrations. I hope that you enjoy the illustrations as much as I enjoyed creating them!
Illustrating for Fashion Scout at London Fashion Week has made me realise that fashion illustration is something that I really wish to pursue as a career. I am currently looking for work in illustration, probably freelance, but a full time job would be amazing.
As well as working London Fashion Week, I also worked London Fashion Weekend. My role was being part of the general staff and making sure that the public was looked after. This was enjoyable and I throughly enjoyed being part of a busy, high fashion atmosphere and contributing to the bigger outcome. I got some great street style images from LFW and LFWend that I want to do illustrations of , but haven't yet had the time, so that will be coming soon. I also have a lot of things that I want to illustrate from Milan Fashion week, but in the meantime, it is currently Paris Fashion Week and I have decided to illustrate each day the highlights from some shows. I wish that I could be in Paris as I had been in London, then I would have more fluid images to inspire me; maybe next season I will be lucky enough.

London Fashion Week and PAM HOGG - SS14
London Fashion Week SS14 is officially over. This has been my favourite fashion week, and as you already know I have had an active role during it as Fashion Illustrator for Fashion Scout's blog. This role gave me full creative responsibility and I was able to go behind the scenes for all catwalks and attend any Fashion Scout show that I wanted, which was extremely exciting and great fun.
I almost wish that illustrating for London Fashion Week was my full time job. The atmosphere is super fast paste and energetic, and doing something that I love and am passionate about 24/7 made me feel like I wasn't even working.
A definite highlight from London Fashion Week was seeing the Pam Hogg SS14 collection. The show was everything and more that you would expect from a Pam Hogg show, shocking, emotionally moving, creative and punk. Below I have included a video of the Pam Hogg show, which is a must watch! I don't want to give to much away, so please watch in large and I hope that you enjoy the show as much as I did.

Illustrations from day 4
Day four was yet another amazing day of fashion week. I discovered the outstanding designer Little Shilpa meet Suzie Sue and other inspiring illustrators and to top it off I got to watch the Pam Hogg show which was AMAZING.
I'm so inspired by the Pam Hogg show, but haven't had a moment to illustrate it. I promise that soon I will illustrate it though as the show is amazingly beautiful and crazy.

Busy bee...
Life has been so hectic this summer! Even though I'm not employed at this very moment, I seem to have the full time job of promoting myself.
Last week I was running around London attending interviews and fulling briefs, this weekend I was having the time of my life with my best friends and making new friends at Bestival (ok, so it's not promoting myself, but we all have to have to treat ourselves sometimes), and after two days of being at home in Devon I am back on my travels to London to illustrate at London Fashion Week and work Vodaphone London Fashion Weekend.
I am super excited to be apart of all the fashion chaos! I will hopefully be blogging every night, including illustrations I have done, street style, behind the scenes and my outfits of the day. So keep your eyes peeled.
What I wore to an interview in London last week, I love this colour of blue on brunettes.
Business cards ordered for next day delivery off Moo! As I'm seeking employment and am going to be surrounded by pretty much everyone that I want to work for, I would be an idiot to not try and promote and push my self as much as possible. Here is a preview of the cards I have ordered...
