The Gypsy Underground lookbook and the boho and hippy vibes I feel from being in the southwest of England this summer (Devon and Cornwall) inspired me to create the illustration below reflecting my fashion mood during these hot and dry English days.

Jeremy Scott x Adidas

So I've been constantly applying for fashion and beauty jobs in London the past few weeks, I can't believe how hard and competitive it is finding a job with creative and business attributes. 

The only interest I currently have had is working for companies for free. As a recent graduate I am already in a huge amount of debt and can't keep digging myself deeper into a hole, I also think it is completely unethical of companies to get staff for free without any possibility of employment at the end of the internship/ placement. 

As the weather has been absolutely lush today I took a couple of hours off from job hunting and decided to do this "Jeremy Scott x Adidas" blog post that I have been meaning to do for a while. 

I got this swim piece for my birthday and have fallen in love with it, also Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaji have both been seen wearing it! ekk.

Levi cut off shorts, white Vagabond sandals and red lips finish off this look.

Would have loved to have created a fashion illustration with this post but I have ordered new equiptment and am waiting for it to arrive before I next draw.

Treat yourself

I recently ran out of my daytime and nighttime moisturiser cream at the same time. I knew that Soap & Glory had a 3 for the price of 2 offer on so I thought I'd seize the opportunity to bag myself some quality products for a cheaper price. Me being me, I couldn't stop at just 3 products and ended up treating myself to 6 haaa. Needless to say my skin feels wonderful and I currently have and "eekkk" moment of excitement when using each new product. It was definitely worth the splurge, sometimes you just have to treat yourself.

While purchasing my products, Boots had a Clarins promotion and I ended up blagging myself samples of daytime and nighttime moisturiser cream as well as facial toner and cleanser for free.

In all, not a bad day for beauty products :).

Pure London

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go to Pure London fashion buying event for Autumn/ Winter 13/14.

The highlight of the day was the WGSN trend forecast for A/W 13/14. I learnt that there are three macro trends for the coming season; Hack-tivate, Living design and 21st Century Romance. 

Key strong elements that caught my interest for A/W 13/14 are; iridescent materials, computer generated prints, layering, sheer materials, beanies, high neck shapes (turtle neck, chunky scarves, lace neck yokes), skater skirts and structured shoulders.

Beautiful iridescent materials are slowly showing up in the high street stores for SS13. 

I personally cannot wait to spend hot and dry summer days at a cocktail bar wearing simple white dress and iridescent accessories.
